Wiz Khalifa Lands #2 Spot

Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 4/3/2011

After much anticipation with the lead single 'Black And Yellow', Wiz Khalifa managed to debut on the top 100 at number 2 with just about 200,000 units sold his first week (80,000 units behind Britney Spears).


Chris Brown stayed within the top ten with an additional 91,000 sold (bringing his total to 362,00). Snoop Dogg came in at number 8 with 50,000. His latest, 'Doggumentary', has received mixed reaction from fans and critics.

Another notable mention is both E-40 albums that dropped last week managed to debut at numbers 40 and 42. 'Revenue Retrievin': Graveyard Shift' sold 14,000, which 'Revenue Retrievin': Overtime Shift' sold 13,000.

Next week we'll see whether or not Wiz Khalifa can still hold a top 10 position, as well as Jim Jones latest 'Capo' making it's way onto the charts.
